In Friday’s episode (May 1), it was confirmed that Theo was the body discovered by Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) in the flash-forward episode that aired back in February.

Elsewhere in the episode, Carl was shown flatlining in hospital after being left fighting for his life when someone sinisterly released a car jack while he was beneath a vehicle in the garage. Meanwhile, Maggie confronted predator Megan and came close to killing her before grandson Will (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) arrived on the scene, reports the Daily Star.
Despite Theo now being confirmed as the murder victim, fans are adamant that a second resident has also met their end. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer said: “I think Carl’s died as well and his death will be revealed next week.”
Someone else added: “Yeah two die I reckon.” A third chimed in: “I think that too and then at least Debbie can say goodbye to him in hospital.” Another penned: “I think they’ve pulled a plot twist and Theo’s unconscious but it’s Carl who actually dies?”

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Corrie producer Kate Brooks discussed the flash-forward twist and murder week. She said: “This is something that’s been in the making for a really long time.
“There are five potential victims, and we will take the audience on a journey to try and figure out who that body is and what happened. It is a who have they done it to, not a whodunit.”

She explained the special episode would provide closure to current storylines as they’re woven into this flash-forward sequence.
She added: “I don’t think I’ve ever told a story that involves quite as many character groups. Everyone’s impacted – everyone’s affected by this story. There’s so many twists and so many turns.”
