The February 13 episode of General Hospital was full of surprises! Maxie (Kirsten Storms) caught up on some of what she missed while in her coma, including Felicia (Kristina Wagner) revealing that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was still alive! Plus, Lucy (Lynn Herring) set her plan in motion with Sidwell (Carlo Rota),  which led to a startling moment for Ava (Maura West), Liz (Rebecca Herbst) offered Lucas (Van Hansis) some tough love, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) blasted Lulu (Alexa Havins) for what she was doing with Nathan, and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) warned Marco (Adrian Anchondo) he was walking on the razor’s edge. Here’s how it all went down!

Wakey, Wakey

Felicia, Georgie and James were thrilled to see Maxie awake and the kids wrapped their mom in a big hug. Maxie was confused about their reaction — and her whereabouts — so Felicia explained that the family had her transferred to Boston for treatment because she’d had a heart attack. Spinelli arrived and after a moment of frozen silence, he swept Maxie into his arms. Spinelli was overjoyed by what appeared to be a miracle, but Felicia wanted to talk to the doctor to make sure everything was okay with Maxie. Once the doctor exited Maxie’s room, everyone rushed in. Maxie wanted to know about everything she missed during the past six months and the kids began to update her while Felicia and Spinelli went out in the hall to talk to the doctor. Spinelli wondered why she woke up now, and the doctor explained that the enzyme in Maxie’s blood had degraded to such a point it was nearly gone. Spinelli wondered about long-term problems from the coma, but the doctor assured him that everything was looking good.

Spinelli suggested to Felicia that there was more that Maxie needed to be brought up to speed on, and she thought it would be best if she told Maxie about Nathan. They went back into the room and Maxie beamed about how happy she was to be a family again. When James mentioned how well his horseback riding lessons were going and that even “Dad wants to try,” Maxie looked up at Spinelli. Felicia stepped in and urged the kids to let Maxie and Spinelli spend some time alone together. At first, Spinelli just stared at her, smiling, and she laughed that he was not usually at a loss for words. He showed her some photos on his phone and she was surprised to see Brook Lynn and Lulu getting along. Later, Maxie sent James and Georgie back to Port Charles with Spinelli. Felicia remained behind and gently informed her daughter of the shocking development that Nathan was alive!

Hooked on a Feeling

At Lulu’s, Nathan moved in for another kiss, but Lulu pulled away. She claimed she was worried that Rocco or Charlotte might have walked in on them, but Nathan suspected that there was more to it. Lulu wondered if they would discover that they were better off as friends, but Nathan thought that was unlikely. He flirted with her by saying that if kissing in her living room wasn’t the right time and place, “then I guess we’ll have to take a look at our calendars, pick a location and try again, won’t we?” As Nathan went to leave with the Valentine’s Day treats they’d put together for James’s class, he suggested Lulu hold on to the “kiss me” candy for later.

Just then, Brook Lynn showed up with Bailey Lou. Once the little girl was asleep upstairs, Lulu and Nathan explained why he’d stopped by, then the cop left. Picking up on the vibe between Nathan and Lulu, Brook Lynn demanded to know what was going on between them. Lulu didn’t want to start fighting with her again, but Brook Lynn voiced her concern that Lulu was getting involved with Maxie’s husband. When Lulu pointed out that Maxie had moved on with Spinelli, Brook Lynn realized she was right. Lulu confirmed that she and Nathan had feelings for each other. She knew how messy the situation was and noted that nothing might come of it, but wanted the time and space to explore her feelings for Nathan. Brook Lynn huffed that she didn’t get much time or space from Lulu when Lulu blew up her entire life by revealing Gio was her son. Lulu insisted she’d learned from her mistake. Brook Lynn asked if Dante knew she had feelings for his best friend, and Lulu said that was why she and Nathan wanted to explore their feelings in private. Brook Lynn argued it was too dangerous. “If you and Nathan pursue this, you will lose Maxie forever. And I’m sorry, Lulu, but you’ll deserve to,” she cautioned. Lulu’s phone rang and she answered it to Spinelli sharing the news that Maxie had woken up. Stunned, Lulu passed the update along to Brook Lynn, and both women celebrated the good news.

Compliments Will Get You Everywhere

Lucy braced herself before entering Wyndemere and, once inside, apologized to Sidwell for dropping by. He poured on the charm and assured her she was always welcome. Lucy claimed that she should never have asked him to choose between her and Ava. He wondered why she’d had a change of heart, and Lucy bubbled that she was always just so impressed with him, and especially how he helped save Deception. She kept piling on the compliments and said she liked spending time with him, even if he was still spending time with Ava. Sidwell assured Lucy he was happy to give her another chance because the idea of not seeing her anymore bothered him. He suggested they were adult enough to have a non-exclusive relationship, and she agreed. He then suggested they catch up over dinner at the Metro Court, adding that they had to make one stop first.

Room for One More

Nina was appalled to walk into the Crimson office and see Michael shirtless, assuming he and Jacinda had sex in the office again. She sprayed down Jacinda’s desk with disinfectant as Michael got dressed. Jacinda was quick to explain that she and Michael hadn’t been intimate — he’d just spilled coffee on his shirt. Nina was still annoyed, and Michael explained he was there to see her. In her office, Nina thanked Michael for giving Willow partial custody of the kids and Michael asked Nina to take it easy on Jacinda in exchange. Nina admitted Jacinda wasn’t a bad assistant, but asked him to stop getting frisky all over the office.

Once Michael and Nina were done chatting, he informed Jacinda that things went well with Nina and they kind of had her blessing. She knew he didn’t want to jeopardize his custody agreement with Willow, and wondered when he was planning to tell her about that development. She worried that he had compromised with Willow because of her criminal past. Michael acknowledged that as a factor, but said he was more motivated by the possibility that he would be charged with Drew’s shooting. He told Jacinda that he had planned to tell her about his arrangement with Willow during their date tonight. She wondered where they were going and when he said it was a surprise, she asked to be the one to surprise him for a change.

Ava went in to see Nina, joking about “Michael’s hooker” still being on the payroll. She told Nina she needed some advice about Sidwell. Nina said she’d only heard terrible things about the guy, but Ava countered that she’d seen another side to him. Nina was stunned that she had feelings for Sidwell. Ava insisted it was too soon to tell, but admitted that there was definitely a spark. She assumed that Lucy would blow it with Sidwell, leaving him free to pursue her, but wondered if she should let him. Nina maintained that she was completely against the idea, but said it was nice to see her friend with a little glow. Jacinda then interrupted with a visitor for Ava: Sidwell. She happily accepted his dinner invitation, but as they walked out to the elevator, her face fell as Lucy announced they’d booked a table for three.

Now or Never?

Lucas entered the locker room and was surprised to see Liz dolling herself up for her date with Ric. When she expressed her surprise that he wasn’t making snarky comments or offering to set her up with someone better, he sighed that he was the last person to give advice like that. Liz wondered what was wrong with Marco, and he reluctantly opened up that he wasn’t being honest with him about “a few things. Like, who he really is. What he really does. Pretty much everything.” Lucas lamented that he knew Sidwell was shady, but he believed Marco when he said he had nothing to do with his father’s business. But now, he’d overheard a conversation between father and son that made it clear that Marco was lying.

Liz theorized that maybe Marco had just been offering legal advice, but Lucas insisted that definitely wasn’t it: They were talking about coercing someone to do something to get what they wanted. “The Marco that I heard talking to Sidwell, that’s not the man I fell in love with,” frowned Lucas. Liz tried to reassure him that Marco’s feelings for him are clearly not a lie, and he’s probably lying to him to protect him from whatever bad thing he’s doing. Lucas felt terrible for the way he treated Carly when she was right about Marco the whole time, and Liz assured him that his sister would forgive him. He thanked Liz for being such a good friend, and she proceeded to offer him some tough love by saying that while she believed that he and Marco love each other, Sidwell is a dangerous man (mentioning what he did to Lucky), and urged him to move out of Wyndemere tonight.

Reality Check

Marco entered the lab to check on Britt and bring her her medicine. She was irritated that he stayed to watch her inject herself. As he went to leave, she called him back to note that the syringe wasn’t as high quality as the previous ones and worried that they weren’t taking care of her medicine properly, asking to check on it herself. Marco said he’d pass along her request and apologized for things having to be this way. Britt angrily asked if pretending to care made him feel better, and he insisted he was a good guy. Britt reminded him he’s lying to his boyfriend’s face every day and warned that the truth always comes out — and it will not end well for him.

Marco insisted he could keep his personal and business separate, but Britt reminded him that they were developing a potential weapon. Marco spat that Britt was the last person who should be judging him and she insisted she was just trying to get through to him. She explained that she knew what he was going through, having grown up with a criminal father, and cautioned that his actions would mean he’d never live happily ever after with Lucas. Marco insisted that once the project was completed, he and Lucas could move on with their lives. Britt’s reaction made it clear that she didn’t share his optimism. Marco urged her to get the project finished so they could all move on with their lives.

Out on the parapet, Marco called Cullum to report that he’d administered Britt’s medication and that he wanted to revisit their conversation about Sonny. As he hung up, he turned to see Lucas standing there. Meanwhile, Britt returned to her office at the hospital to find Nathan waiting for her. She was further stunned when he told her that Anna believes that their father is still alive.
