Out of the Mouths of Babes
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Michael explained to a confused Wiley that Uncle Jason was away on a trip and Danny was living with Alexis, his grandmother, for a while. As Michael helped his son with homework, Olivia entered and sent Wiley out of the room. Though she apologized for the way the family came down on Michael about Jacinda, Olivia didn’t back down on her stance that Jacinda was not an appropriate partner. As they argued, Michael refused to apologize for his relationship just because Olivia was uncomfortable with Jacinda’s previous occupation, and Olivia spat back that he couldn’t hide the fact that Jacinda was a hooker… just as Wiley walked into the kitchen! Confused by the term, Wiley backed away before his father noticed he’d returned. Once they’d calmed down, Michael told Olivia that Jacinda had been a bright spot for him and his kids after a really rough year, and she professed that she was happy for him if he was happy with Jacinda. So Olivia could get to know Jacinda better, Michael suggested that the two couples have dinner together, and Olivia offered to make lasagna.
Meanwhile, Chase and Brook Lynn met with a representative from Children & Family Services about fostering baby Phoebe. It turned out that Chase knew the social worker, Sarah, from having worked on a police case together, so he shared that he was actually no longer a detective. Concerned that the couple was already too attached to Phoebe, Sarah questioned if they’d be able to give up the baby when the time came, but Chase and Brook Lynn promised they just wanted to take care of the child until her family could be found. After Chase and Brook Lynn showed her the nursery, Sarah asked to speak with some other family members who’d have contact with Phoebe. Just then, Wiley ran into the foyer and asked Brook Lynn what a “hooker” was. Brook Lynn tried to hide her panic.

Bridging The Gap
At the PCPD, Dante updated Justine that no evidence had turned up at Miller & Davis so far, and Marco’s phone was still missing. The commissioner noted that while his conversation with Lucas hadn’t been very productive, Sidwell had insisted that Sonny was the prime suspect.
Over at Sonny’s, Gio was worried about Dante after seeing a video on social media of his father and Jason fighting in the high school parking lot. Sonny told Gio that if he was ready to start building a relationship with his father, he’d have to make the first move because Dante was giving him space. Gio then headed to the PCPD to check on Dante, who was touched that his firstborn reached out.
Justine showed up at Sonny’s house, saying she had some off-the-record questions about Marco’s murder. After offering a special treat to Fizz, Justine revealed that Sidwell had claimed that Sonny was responsible for Marco’s death. Swearing that he wasn’t to blame, Sonny joked that it wasn’t worth incurring Carly’s wrath by killing her brother’s boyfriend, then mused that Sidwell wanted to blame anyone but himself. As she prepared to leave, Justine warned that the PCPD might call Sonny in as part of their investigation, and Sonny wondered why she’d gone out of her way to go to his house just to ask him questions. As the chemistry crackled between them, Justine quipped she’d stopped by because Fizz was growing on her.

Loose Lips Sink Ships
At home with her son, Lulu reminded Rocco how important it was that he did not tell anyone about his involvement in Cullum’s shooting. Rocco freaked out upon learning that Jason had been taken away by the WSB when Cullum was the one committing the crime. Lulu pointed out that there was no way to prove what had happened on the pier, but Rocco felt guilty that Danny’s dad had been arrested for covering for him. Lulu replied that, knowing Jason, not saying anything was his way of returning the favor since Rocco had saved his life first. She reiterated that Rocco could never tell Danny or Dante the truth, and assured her son that the fact that he was so torn up about shooting Cullum meant that he was a good person. Rocco asked if they could call Nathan for an update on Cullum, but Lulu volunteered to go to the hospital to check on Cullum herself, since she could claim she was doing a piece for the Port Charles Press.
After Charlotte came home from school, Rocco’s guilt increased as she told him how she’d snuck out of Laura’s house the night before to help Danny. Rocco nearly broke as Charlotte described how awful it had been for Danny to see Jason in shackles being carted off in a van, and he had to turn his back so his sister couldn’t see how affected he was.

Playing God
After deducing that Cullum had been responsible for killing Marco, Josslyn suggested that Britt kill him while the WSB director was unconscious in the ICU so they could prevent the agent from going after anyone else. Acknowledging that killing Cullum was a big ask of the doctor, Josslyn offered to do it herself. When Britt scoffed at the idea of the baby WSB agent going rogue and assassinating one of her higher-ups, Josslyn stated that she’d been trained to identify when an agent had to take action for the greater good — and this was one of those moments. Britt then declared that she would be the one to take care of Cullum, since Marco lost his life trying to get her meds, and she had no clue what would happen to Jason.
Later, Britt went into Cullum’s room — but just as she was about to inject something into his IV stream, Lulu walked in. Capping the syringe, Britt blasted Lulu for waltzing into the room of an ICU patient. Lulu said she was working on a story about the shooting on Pier 55 and asked Britt for a statement since she’d been involved. Walking back to the hub, Britt huffed that she’d give a statement if Lulu stayed out of the ICU. Trying to cover up her own worries for Rocco, Lulu asked what Britt saw and who else had been at the pier. Britt, not wanting to jeopardize whatever Jason’s plan was, changed her mind about giving the journalist a comment after all. Lulu instead asked for an update on Director Cullum, and Britt sighed that it was hard to say if he’d pull through.
Unbeknownst to Britt and Lulu, Josslyn had been hovering by the hub, and while they spoke, she crept into Cullum’s room. As she stood next to his bed, trying to determine if Britt had successfully done the deed, Cullum suddenly opened his eyes!
