Phil Mitchell marked another major milestone in the latest episode of EastEnders.

During the recent BBC One episode, the long-standing Walford icon was surrounded by family and friends as they surprised him with an intimate celebration at his home. The gathering was organised to mark Phil’s 65th birthday — an event he had no idea was planned.

It was revealed that the surprise had been masterminded by his son Raymond, with Amy Mitchell later sharing how much effort had gone into keeping it secret. Although Phil initially insisted he “didn’t want the fuss,” Jack Branning quickly reminded him that turning 65 is a moment worth celebrating.

Steve has portrayed Phil since 1990 and remains one of the soap’s most recognisable faces. Born on March 20, 1959, the actor is currently 66 years old. Away from Albert Square, he is a proud father of five children from previous relationships.
