Coronation Street fans have made the same claim about what they want for Theo Silverton’s future as he was seen getting his plan in motion to leave Weatherfield with his new husband, Todd Grimshaw.

Viewers have waited around a year to see Theo’s downfall as his horrifying abuse of Todd continues. They have watched the undertaker become a shell of his former self as the builder continues to mentally and physically abuse him.

There was a moment in January when Todd could have been saved after his former partner, Billy Mayhew, discovered the truth, but his unexpected death, aided by villain Theo, put a stop to Todd’s escape.

Corrie fans thought things had come to a head when the pair split earlier this month, only for them to reconcile, with the break-up another part of Theo’s manipulation tactics, and for them to end up married days later as in a shock twist, Theo sprung a surprise wedding on Todd, with him having revealed to Gary Windass that he’d never cancelled the registry office from when they were planning to tie the knot.

Gary was more than happy to support Theo, with just him and his wife, Maria Windass, in attendance as Theo was seen leading a blindfolded Todd into the registry office, where Gary and his wife, Maira, were waiting as their witnesses. Despite Todd appearing horrified, he went ahead with the nuptials, even overcoming a wobble during the vows.

They headed back to the street for a post-wedding celebration in the Rovers Return, with Todd’s friends surprised by the unexpected nuptials. Since then, Theo’s abuse towards Todd has only continued, only this time his vile behaviour towards his partner has been caught, first by George Shuttleworth, who has since spread the word between those who know and love Todd.

During a rare Sunday episode of Corrie, on March 29, Todd saw some of his friends gathered together and wanted to know what was going on. Meanwhile, Sarah Platt was seen paying Gary a visit where she shared what she had found out with her former partner.

While struggling to believe the information, Gary later saw a scared Todd nervously heading back to the flat, offering to accompay him inside. He then too caught Theo shouting abuse towards his new husband. As he spoke to Gary, Theo shut down any possibility that he had been abusing his partner.

However, Gary said: “If I find out it’s true…” alluding to Theo’s abuse, before warning that he is also capable of violence. “I’m onto you, Theo. We all are,” he added. With Gary’s words ringing in his ears, Theo was later seen plotting his next move, suggesting he and Todd leave for Belfast.

As Corrie fans already know, Theo is among the possible victims of a murder that is set to take place on the cobbles towards the end of April. But it seems some don’t want this to be the abusers ending, as there’s also more to be revealed first.

Death would be such a cop out! #Corrie.” However, @LeeElvis1982lee added: “What with it yet to still come out about Theo killing billy and the abuse on Todd I think it it will be more than likely Theo gets killed of..but my gut feeling it will be Megan and Sam Is the killer #Corrie.”
