CORONATION STREET FANS UNMASK THE MURDER VICTIM IN A SHATTERING TWIST THAT SPELLS DOOM FOR A BELOVED ICON
Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ murder victim and it’s bad news for another character
Those who follow the ITV soap have already been informed that a shock death will take place on the cobbles in April
Coronation Street fans think they have worked out who the victim will be of an upcoming murder on the cobbles – and it will end up being bad news for a much-loved character.
Those who follow the ITV soap have already been informed that a shock death will take place on the cobbles in April, with Betsy Swain the one to discover the dead body of one of her neighbours on the day of her mum, Lisa Swain’s, wedding to Carla Connor.
The news was confirmed in a flashforward episode which aired in February and showed the shocked and anxious teen telling detectives about finding the dead body of someone she knows. Dressed in wedding clothes, she explained she had been at the Connor-Swain wedding, but was heading into town to continue the celebrations when she made the shocking discovery.
As the episode returned to the present day, Corrie viewers started to see how the behaviour of the five characters could lead to their possible death – with Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster seen as the potential victims, each showing behaviours that could lead to them being bumped off.
Later, as the same episode came to a close, it again flashes forward again to April 23rd and the five characters were seen on the cobbles as Lisa and Carla’s wedding fireworks light up the night sky. As the lights flickered, a battered and bruised Carl, frantic Jodie, a menacing Maggie, a bloody-nosed Megan and a furtive Theo were seen staring into the darkness.
While Corrie fans still have time to wait until the big reveal, with the episode set to air on April 23, they have been sharing their predictions over who the victim could be and following Monday’s (March 9) episode of the long-running show, some think Theo’s comeuppance could be on the cards.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, the relationship between the builder and his boyfriend, undertaker Todd Grimshaw, has been nothing short of volatile, with Todd suffering under Theo’s abuse, both physical and emotional, and control.
During the latest Corrie episode, it was Theo’s birthday, and after Todd’s clear worry about making his boyfriend’s day special, Theo ended up spoiling it for himself by provoking an argument with Todd. It started as Theo seemed disappointed by the presents he received from Todd, who hasn’t had any access to his own money for months, and Summer Spellman.
And Theo’s simmering anger only grew when Todd was late for his birthday meal at the Bistro, and so to make matters worse for his partner, the birthday boy started ordering the most expensive items on the menu as well as invited Gary Windass and Maria Connor to join them for dinner.
But when Todd was unable to foot the bill, Theo humiliated him by stepping in to cover it before they headed back to the flat where a confrontation ensued. When Todd suggested they should have coffee instead of more wine, Theo started throwing things in Todd’s direction.
Then, when Todd tried to get him to stop, Theo grabbed a knife looking set to attack his partner. Finally having enough, Todd responded: “You going stab me? Are you? Well go on, do it. You think I care anymore? You think I wanna carry on? Do it. Put me out of my misery, do it!”
While Theo put the knife away and walked out of the flat, some think an upcoming twist could see Todd responsible for Theo’s death. @sarahlawson84 said: “Yeah….another scrap like this and Todd kills Theo. Calling it now #Corrie.” @Jane69946890611 replied: “I agree, one day he’s gonna snap.” @Audz32129841 commented: “What if Todd kills Theo in self defence and Theo’s the body #Corrie.”
@DrSwarla2025 shared: “Todd is going to lose it with Theo sooner rather than later. #corrie.” @AlisonSelw60139 reponded: “I’ve watched it now. I’ll can see Todd flipping his lid on him. Pushing him off a very tall bridge will do the trick,” to which the first poster added: “Agree maybe the murder is Todd killing Theo that could be an interesting storyline going forward..”
