Corrie fans think they’ve spotted a ‘missing’ detail when it comes to Carla as they countdown to her and Lisa Swain’s wedding day

Coronation Street fans have been left distracted by a ‘missing’ detail when it comes to Carla Connor as they countdown to her and Lisa Swain’s wedding day.

Fans of the ITV soap couple, dubbed ‘Swarla’, know that things are looking up for the couple following their recent reunion, which came after their relationship was momentarily derailed by the arrival of Lisa’s ex-wife, Becky Swain.

Becky was almost successful in her attempts at pulling the couple apart, and after convincing Lisa and their daughter, Betsy Swain, to leave the country with her, the villain was stopped in her tracks, albeit in dramatic fashion as they become involved in a horror multi-vehicle pile-up.

But with Becky gone, with viewers hearing she had been sentenced to 12 years for her crimes, Lisa was keen to reunite with Carla. While the Underworld factory boss was initially hesitant to forgive, she couldn’t stay away from the love of her life for long.

Following their reunion, Carla has since surprised Lisa, by booking their wedding date, April 23 to be exact, at the Chariot Square Hotel, and last week, it was confirmed filming was taking place for the special day

The wedding itself, despite a murder set to take place elsewhere on the cobbles, does look set to go without a hitch. During a recent episode of This Morning, the show’s ‘Queen of Soaps’ Sharon Marshall shared an update on the highly-anticipated marriage between Carla and Lisa, as she was confirmed she was behind-the-scenes for the filming of the big day.

During the broadcast, Sharon confirmed that in “a first in the soap’s history, two girls getting married without any calamities on the way”. She had previously said: “I can tell you they are filming the Swarla wedding today!”

But Corrie fans have recently been taking to social media to share their confusion as they have spotted Carla without her engagement ring. @eternitydropped said: “Okay but when is Carla going to have her engagement ring back on.” @dosomelico joked: “Carla won a baby but lost the engagement ring.”

@Emmmmmer shared: “Have we established that Carla has taken her ring off because that diamond is a bloody weapon and she can’t risk scratching the poor bubba? #swarla.” @Izzy1728047 commented: “Also I’m wondering if Carla not wearing her ring, is actually intentional from a behind the scenes point of view. Health & Safety guidelines when Ali holds the baby, the diamond is more raised than Lisa’s and sharp #Swarla.” @missmollybruton added: “In my head the reason Carla’s engagement ring is missing is either because she was changing a nappy or she took it off because she was afraid she’d scratch Connie with it.”
