Crossovers are nothing new in soaps, as many have happened over the years. However, a crossover from daytime to Broadway, well, that’s something different altogether and General Hospital will be at the center of this fun twist. Entertainment Weekly has learned that two Port Charles residents will be making their way to an episode of Broadway’s Aladdin.
Those taking in the Friday, April 24 show at the New Amsterdam Theatre at 214 West 42nd Street in New York City, New York, will get to see Giovanni Mazza’s Gio take Emma Braedyn Bruner’s Emma on a romantic adventure as they travel to the Big Apple to visit Gio’s old friend, Michael James Scott himself, who has played Genie in the musical since 2019. During the storyline, it’ll be explained how Gio befriended Scott while playing violin in a Broadway orchestra pit, but the fun doesn’t stop there… This is a crossover, after all. On Monday, May 4, Scott will turn up in Port Charles to visit his pal’s hometown. And viewers will get to see him show off his talents by performing Aladdin’s “Friend Like Me” onstage at The Savoy.
