TRAGEDY STRIKES WEATHERFIELD: ICONIC CORONATION STREET FAVOURITE LEFT IN ABSOLUTE RUINS!

Coronation Street fan favourite Roy Cropper is set to be devastated as part of a new storyline, which will kick-start a new mystery for the ITV soap.

As reported by The Sun, there will be a fire at his café Roy’s Rolls, which will see the beloved character taken to hospital.

Roy will be left shaken by the whole thing, especially if he loses important items of sentimental value.

But the question is: who is responsible for the arson attack and why did they do it

There will be a few suspects, but nothing beyond that has been teased at the current time.

It’s a darker storyline than Roy’s most recent one, which sadly saw him learn that his pen-pal romantic interest Alice was already married (that storyline did turn dark with Mal’s introduction to the Cobbles, but it became Bernie Winter-Alahan’s plot rather than Roy’s).

It’s not the only Corrie mystery on the go, as the soap is just over a month away from revealing the identity of the dead body seen in the flashforward episode in February.

It’s been officially confirmed that Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster — all characters introduced in the last year — are the ones at risk of being the unfortunate victim, and the soap has been dropping possible clues ever since.
