On General Hospital, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) thought she could hide her status as a rookie WSB agent from her mother, Carly (Laura Wright), discovered the truth back in October 2025 when Jason (Steve Burton) spilled the beans. Since then, mother and daughter have been dancing around each other as Carly plots revenge against Jack (Chris McKenna) for recruiting her daughter as a spy. But in the March 5 episode, the secret agent wasn’t so secret anymore, and it was finally time for some brutal truth-telling!

Believing she was alone in her mother’s house, Josslyn rushed upstairs when she heard a noise and entered the attic with her gun drawn. Discovering a man with his back turned to her, Joss ordered him to put his hands up and turn around. She was stunned to come face-to-face with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). When Josslyn firmly announced she was taking him in, he teased her about being “all grown up and a bona fide WSB agent to boot.” Josslyn lashed out and kicked him in the groin, then hit him in the head with her gun so he’d fall to the floor, where she proceeded to tie him up. Just then, the door opened, and Josslyn aimed her gun at the intruder, only to see her mother! Carly’s face fell as she saw Joss in action.

“You gonna shoot your own mother?” Carly asked as she entered. Josslyn was stunned when her mother confirmed she’d been hiding Valentin since his escape from WSB custody. When Josslyn asked why, Carly angrily declared, “Because Valentin is the only way I get you out of the WSB, Josslyn. Or should I call you Agent Jacks?” Josslyn’s eyes widened as she realized her mother had known her secret for a while.

Standing up to her mom, Josslyn blasted her for harboring a fugitive and compared signing up with the WSB to joining the Army. Carly insisted that they weren’t the same thing at all. Josslyn was horrified that her mother had trusted Valentin and warned her that she could go to prison for 20 years, minimum. “It’ll be worth every minute if it keeps you safe,” Carly insisted. Josslyn tearfully protested that her mother had no idea what she’d done. When Valentin asked if anyone was going to untie him, she ordered her mom downstairs.

In the kitchen, Josslyn began listing all the laws her mother had broken and ranted that Carly was putting her future at risk “because of something I chose to do.” Carly argued that being a WSB agent isn’t a regular job and admitted she’d known about Joss’s new gig for months. Josslyn wondered why she hadn’t said anything, and Carly replied that she’d been waiting for Joss to tell her herself. Joss insisted she was just following her orders not to reveal that she’d joined the WSB. “Joined,” Carly scoffed. “Like it’s the Girl Scouts or something.” Josslyn realized that Jason had told her the truth, which Carly confirmed, bitterly noting that he respected her enough not to lie to her face. “Unlike you,” she added pointedly.

In the attic, Valentin freed himself and grabbed his things to leave, then paused and looked at the door thoughtfully. Back downstairs, Carly blasted Josslyn for lying to her face about Easter Island and Australia, and Josslyn again insisted that she had no choice in the matter, shouting, “Lying to you was the assignment!” Carly snarked that “college student” was a great cover, and Josslyn explained that her status as a PCU undergrad was why she was recruited. She confirmed that Jack was the one who drew her in to the agency, declaring that he didn’t force her into anything. Carly shot her daughter a look and reminded her how much she hated Jack and the idea of her mother dating him, wondering how she could let him recruit her “into this awful life.”

Josslyn tried to argue that she wanted to help make the world a better place, and Carly reminded her of Anna, who was in a mental facility because this life had broken her, which t she didn’t want that happening to her little girl. She also couldn’t believe that Jack would push her into that kind of dangerous life and wondered why she would say yes to something like that. “Because that was the price of justice!” Josslyn snapped. Carly wondered what justice she was talking about, and when Joss didn’t immediately respond, she pressed harder. “I found proof that Cyrus was the one who killed Dex,” Joss at last confessed. “He would have never gotten caught. He would have never paid. So I hunted him down. And when he tried to kill me, I killed him.”

Josslyn admitted that Cyrus was only the first person she’d killed, because killing was part of the job. Horrified, Carly tried to insist that this wasn’t who she was, then came to the painful realization that she hadn’t known her own daughter for quite some time. Josslyn tearfully insisted she hated lying to her. Carly bitterly praised her for being very good at it and reeled when Joss admitted she’d been an agent for almost a year. She railed at Jack for using Josslyn’s actions to force her into the WSB, but Joss revealed that Jack was the one who led her to Cyrus in the first place. Carly accused him of setting her up, but Joss believed it was more of a test. Carly wondered why she was still doing this if she’d already gotten justice for Dex, and Josslyn angrily declared, “I want to take down Sonny and everybody else like him! Mercifully and finally!”

Carly was stunned that this was all about Sonny, and Josslyn argued that as she grew up, she saw the real Sonny — the one who gets away with murder and constantly eludes the cops. She believed that the WSB had the resources to bring Sonny to justice, along with a lot of other criminals. Joss added that every time she would complain about Sonny, her mother would defend him as a good man trying to protect his family, only to get members of the family killed. She reminded her mother that Morgan was dead because of Sonny, and Carly was visibly shaken. Josslyn added that Sonny wanted to kill Dex, and Kristina and Michael almost died because of him, too. “Who’s next?” she asked. “Avery? Donna?” Carly couldn’t believe she thought like this, and Josslyn countered that she couldn’t believe that Carly didn’t. She spat that Sonny had cheated on Carly and treated her horribly for years. “I am done waiting for you to have your aha moment,” she hissed. “Someone has to take him down.”

Carly begged her not to throw her life away for Sonny or anyone else, and Josslyn sighed, “Oh, wow. So you’re still gonna refuse to acknowledge who Sonny actually is.” She sarcastically commended her mother’s ability to rationalize and told her to stop trying to save her. Then, Josslyn noted that she couldn’t turn in Valentin without having to arrest her own mother, granting her 24 hours to get the criminal out of the house. With that, Joss stormed out. Alone in the kitchen, Carly’s thoughts were interrupted by Valentin putting a comforting hand on her shoulder, and they exchanged a weighty look.
