Todd THREATENS Jake | Coronation Street
It starts with a joke. A possessive tease.
“Now you’re branded. Everyone knows you’re mine.”
But that very visible love bite on Todd’s neck quickly becomes public humiliation. Teenagers snigger. Jake mocks. A careless joke about pregnancy is thrown in for good measure. Todd bristles. George steps in. The scene escalates fast — accusations, insults, and wounded pride flying in every direction.
And that’s before the real storm begins.

Inside the funeral parlour, what should have been a routine meeting turns explosive. Annie arrives looking furious — and she isn’t there to offer thanks for the respectful send-off her mother received.
She’s there to accuse.
According to Annie, George manipulated her vulnerable, God-fearing mother in her final days. The proof? Nearly ten thousand pounds left to him in the will — the old woman’s life savings. Annie is convinced it wasn’t generosity. It was calculated deceit.
George is blindsided. Christina is outraged. Annie doesn’t hold back, branding him a con artist who preyed on the elderly. She mocks his professionalism, sneers at his “innocent” act, and makes it chillingly clear she’s prepared to take this to court.
“I guess I’ll see you there.”
The threat hangs heavy in the air.
George insists he did nothing wrong — that he treated the woman with kindness, nothing more. But kindness can look suspicious when money changes hands. And whether he wanted the inheritance or not, he now stands to lose everything: his reputation, his business, maybe even his freedom from legal scrutiny.
Meanwhile, Todd’s own troubles are quietly unraveling.
Short on cash and too proud to admit it, he deflects questions and refuses help. But the teasing about the bruise on his neck has clearly rattled him — not because of the mark itself, but because of what it represents.
Gary calls. Todd is told to “keep things under control.” It makes him look weak. Less than. The comment cuts deeper than anyone realizes.
When he confronts his partner privately, the tension shifts from embarrassment to something far more fragile. Todd wants reassurance — a promise he won’t be made to look foolish again. But when the conversation turns to the night before, uncertainty creeps in.
“You’re making it sound like I forced you.”
The words land heavily.
Todd panics, clarifying that everything was consensual. Still, doubt lingers. Did his partner truly want it? Or was he just going along with it? The fear of being misunderstood — of being seen as coercive — shakes Todd more than the street taunts ever could.
He demands eye contact. Demands clarity. Demands love.
“Tell me you love me.”
“I love you.”
Three simple words.
But on this street, nothing is ever simple.
With legal threats looming over George and cracks forming in Todd’s relationship, loyalty, pride, and trust are all being tested. Money may have sparked the fire — but insecurity and suspicion are pouring on the fuel.
And this is only the beginning.
